Free Private Lesson Giveaway

Essex Explorations will be giving a series of clinics and sideshow this summer at Backpackers Supply. The first will feature Steve Weileman and his Packing for Extended Kayak Trips. Over the years, Steve has tried a variety of packing strategies and techniques culminating in his latest which allowed him to easily pack his boat for a self supported two week trip in the Queen Charlotte Islands.

Door prizes will be given away for each presentation. Our first prize is a 4 hour private sea-kayak lesson with Steve Weileman.

Vancouver Island Record Attempt Update

Keirron Tastagh and Jeff Norville have rounded Cape Scott and started their journey down the west side of the island. They've had some down time due to weather but have used the opportunity to rest their bodies and enjoy the scenery around them. Apparently the black bears are making their presence know.
