Photo of the Week – Kachemak Bay

Theresa and I had set some time aside after our summer guiding in Alaska to run down and check out the small community of Homer. Whenever I’ve asked for a short list of favorite places from those with more experience and time in Alaska seems that Homer is always at the top of list. After a few days in the place I can certainly see why.

But this guy out kiteboarding really was a joy to watch. We where making our way down Homer Spit looking for storm debris that Theresa could use in her jewelry when I first noticed him skipping off the wave tops. With the wind blowing force 4 it was cold but he didn’t seem to mind. Hard to say what was more intriguing, him out in such conditions, or the magnificent backdrop.
