San Juan Splendor
Day 1: The outer Islands of Matia, Patos, and Sucia lie due north of Orcas, and are ideal kayak destinations. See GPS track and map for their geographic location. I teamed up with John of ANEW Outdoors our paddling partners in crime to help guide an eager group of paddlers seeking a more remote adventure. Launching from North Beach on Orcas, these three Islands span the horizon, and we had high hopes of visiting all three.
