10th Annual Port Angeles Kayak Symposium
I’ve been down most of this week with a toothache and not up to much of anything…but I did want to get this news bit out there. This weekend Olympic Raft and Kayak will be hosting the 10th Annual Port Angeles Kayak Symposium in Port Angeles. Admission to the demo beach $5 or free with a PA Food Bank donation.

For a paddler, Washington has to be something of a utopia offering more unique venues then anywhere I can think of. From open coastal paddling, to protected bays, to hundreds of island to explore, but when it comes to symposiums we seem to be on a endangered list with two major one pulling the plug so if you’re in the area I’d recommend getting out to Port Angeles this weekend.
Looks like they’ve got some great key speakers for the event with Ken Campbell presenting Wild Island Shorelines and Brent Sunds highlighting his recent trip to paddle Wales.
